Tenerife Holidays are Still a Booming Business

Tenerife continues to be the first choice for tourists looking for the best in holiday destinations in the Canary Islands. At the same time, enterprising people are seeking out the best of businesses for sale in Tenerife. Tourism and Tenerife business sales are on the rise.

According to the last census done in 2011, there was an 11.8% increase in tourists visiting Tenerife. According to figures released by the Tenerife Cabildo this represents a significant rise in the numbers coming to the island at the same time in 2010. Looking at the tourism zones of Tenerife, 330,956 visitors chose the south of the island, which was 15.1 per cent more than in February 2010, whilst another 65,454 chose the North, representing an increase of 6.3 per cent.

There are many reasons why the island is so popular, including the attractions of Tenerife’s tourist resorts, the excellent weather the island is blessed with, and its varied and spectacular countryside. This is why so many people choose to take their holidays on the island and others decide to buy a business in Tenerife.

Tenerife has something for everyone. It has the sandy beaches in the sun, the bars, restaurants, entertainment and nightlife. It has wonderful range of shops and shopping centers. Whatever you are looking for, the chances are it can be found somewhere in Tenerife.

Statistics for the island reveal that Tenerife really is the most popular of all the Canary Islands with tourist figures showing a total increase of over 16%. Tenerife attracts over 36% of all the tourists visiting the islands.

Some nationalities in particular are making the island their first choice for holidays, or to live and buy and run a Tenerife business. Russians make Tenerife their only choice out of all the Canary Islands, whilst several other nationalities, such as the French, Danish, Belgians, and Italians, can clearly be seen to prefer Tenerife.

British, Germans and the Scandinavian countries, are historically known to have been strongly present in numbers in Tenerife, and these nationalities have remained loyal to their favorite Canary Islands tourist destination.

Many new Tenerife businesses have been starting up this year. Some entrepreneurs have launched new ventures, whilst others have decided to buy an established Tenerife business. The French, Bulgarians, Russians, English, Germans, Italians and Belgians have all been active in the Tenerife business sector, as well as being some of the main nationalities that visit the island as tourists.

As it happens, Tenerife has the highest repeat tourist rate of all the Canary Islands, and those who have been once have a tendency to return year after year. Many people come to the island on holiday but then decide to move there and to run a business in Tenerife. Before the summer season begins is definitely the best time to think about investing in Tenerife. The market still offers great deals around this time of year!

Tenerife is certainly gaining momentum and turning into a truly cosmopolitan destination for both holidays and business. More and more people from around the world are discovering this truly beautiful island!
